Fiona presents on Smooth Radio from 2pm every Sunday afternoon.

Her radio career began when she left the National Broadcasting School in London and went to work, for FREE for Two Counties Radio in Bournemouth. She’d just finished training as a radio journalist and spent weeks making tea for the presenters and grovelling around the news editor before they sent her out on her first story – Lollipop Lady of the Year!

When she's not at work she shouts at the children and her husband because they always find time to sit and chill out even though the house is a bombsite... but the house is a bombsite because they’re always sitting down! When she's not cleaning up after them she loves her sleep zzzZzz!

He might not clean but Fiona's husband does do some cooking, making a "special soup", although she's not sure what's in it! She adores potatoes: fried, chipped, boiled, baked, roasted, sauted, mashed, any way they come. Apparently her mum craved spuds when she was pregnant with Fiona.

She loves Italy for a holiday, but what's not to like – the culture, the food, football, wine and the people – a magical mix.

Her childhood memories are all coloured by her mum’s big smile because she was always full of fun, and smothered Fiona and her brothers with love.

She's a fan of the Modfather himself, Paul Weller, and in all his different guises – The Jam, Style Council and as himself. For a favourite album she'd go for a sentimental choice...Donny Osmond’s 'A Portrait of Donny', the first album she ever bought, featuring 'Puppy Love', of course! She had it on cassette and went to sleep every night with it playing back in 1972.
